Universidad ORT Uruguay is a non-profit private university that grants undergraduate (20+), post-graduate (20+) and associate degrees in Architecture, Engineering, Biotechnology, Business and Management, Economics, International Relations, Design, Animation, Communication, and Education.
Over 11,000 (full and part-time) students attend five major schools and institutes located in 2 urban locations: Downtown Campus and Pocitos Campus. 
Courses are mostly taught in Spanish.
ORT has over 180 collaboration partnerships with prestigious universities worldwide and maintains its global engagement through collaborative teaching and research, academic mobility for students and staff, and networks' participation.
ORT co-founded Uruguay's first technology-based business incubator and supports new ventures creation across the Schools through its own Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
In the last three years, 97% of its undergraduates were employed.
The university is a member of main international academic associations and part of World ORT, an international educational network founded by the Jewish community of St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1880.
ORT was founded in Uruguay as a technical-vocational school in 1942.
